Ted

As I stand this day of my graduation, I am filled with a sense of gratitude that is beyond words. This journey has been transformative, not just for me but for everyone who has been a part of the Mission.
First and foremost, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Jimmie Hale. Your
unwavering support and dedication have paved the way for not only my recovery
but for countless future participants. You saw potential in us when we often
couldn’t see it in ourselves, thank you for believing in the mission and believing in
me.
To – Joe, Hank, Whammy, Julian, also known as Cleveland Brown, and Miss T –
thank you for your patience and understanding. You have stood by my side through moments of struggle and triumph, navigating the complexities of my journey. Your ability to handle my antics with grace and humor has not gone unnoticed. Each of
you has played a vital role in my healing process, guiding me when I felt lost and
celebrating with me during my victories.
And to Boston, my go-to-guy- thank you for giving me the opportunity to embark
on this path of recovery. You saw something in me that I struggled to see in myself,
and you provided the chance I desperately needed. Your faith in me has made all
the difference, and I am profoundly grateful for the role you have played in my
success.
I also want to take a moment to acknowledge the entire Jimmie Hale Mission.
Together, you have created an environment of hope, healing and second chances.
The support from this community has been a lifeline for me and I know that it will
continue to be for others who enter these doors in the future. You’ve shown me that
there is a way forward – even in the darkest of times – and that the possibility of
change is always within reach.
This has been more than just an event for me; it has been a life-changing journey. I
stand here today not just as a graduate, but as someone who has been given a
second chance. I carry with me the lessons learned, the friendships forged, and the
hope for what lies ahead. Thank you for helping me reclaim my life and for
equipping me with the tools I need to continue this journey. I am forever grateful to
each and every one of you.
