The Jimmie Hale Mission hosted its second annual Rescue Run event sponsored by Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in downtown Homewood on Saturday. Beautiful weather set the stage for a fundraiser that grossed approximately $25,000 to help combat homelessness and addiction in central Alabama. More than 340 participants dashed more than 835 combined miles through the winding streets in 10K, 5K, and Fun Run waves.
