Underneath our Thanksgiving plates lies the bright colors of love and kindness from our community’s youngest givers.
Each year, local elementary school students create hand-colored place mats for our Mission clients. These cheerful works of art, filled with drawings of turkeys, pumpkins, vegetables, and notes of encouragement, are placed at every setting in our dining room.
It is a small act with an enormous impact! These tiny treasures warm hearts and help transform Thanksgiving Day from a day of loneliness into a true celebration of gratitude. We invite you to send in colored placemats from your favorite little ones! Just click here for a downloadable copy.
