BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Jimmie Hale Mission will soon begin a search for a new executive director. Michael Coleman, who served as the nonprofit’s leader for two and a half years, has stepped away from the role to return to the Montgomery area to be closer to family. Perryn Carroll, the organization’s board chair, will serve as the interim executive director until a permanent leader is named. Carroll has volunteered at the Mission and been involved with the board for more than 20 years.
“The Jimmie Hale Mission places the utmost value on faith and family,” Carroll said. “We respect Michael’s need to put the best interests of his family first and wish him the best in his move to be closer to children and grandchildren.”
The board of directors is currently developing plans for the executive search process.
