CULLMAN, Ala. – Liberty National Life Insurance Company’s Clint McLain Agency named the Jimmie Hale Mission the recipient of a $5,000 “Making Tomorrow Better” donation at the Cullman Civic Center this afternoon. The Mission received $2,500 at the same event last year.
This generosity will provide more than 2,500 hot meals to men, women, and children in need.
Mission executive director Tony Cooper was given a few minutes to talk about some of the lives that have been touched in his 29 years with the non-profit. The core of his message was aimed at encouraging individuals to think differently about the clientele the Mission serves.

Tony Cooper speaks to the audience about the Mission’s purpose
“No one wants to be homeless,” he said. “Some have made bad decisions, but our focus is not to judge them, but to come alongside them and help them get back to God, back to life, and back to work. Many of the people we serve aren’t what you’d expect. We’ve had doctors, attorneys, judges, business owners, you name it, come to us for help. And it’s because of people like you that we are able to do the things that we do.”
Clint McLain and several agency employees have partnered with the Mission during seasonal fundraising events in the past.
