Robin Greenlee, chairwoman of the Mission’s Board of Directors, has been chosen as one of 30 honorees by Alabama Media Group in this year’s Women Who Shape the State group.

“We must actively cultivate leadership in others and empower them to use it,” Greenlee told Jessica Sawyer from Birmingham Magazine. “We all have the responsibility to impact the future, and the only thing we can count on to move into the future is other people.”

“Leadership is not accidental, even though circumstances may occasionally thrust us into a position of leadership,” she added in the article. “It ultimately depends on how we choose to use those opportunities.”

Greenlee and the other 29 representatives were honored at a reception held at Haven Friday afternoon.
