The Jimmie Hale Mission is a 501(c)3 charitable organization and does not receive government or United Way funding.

The majority of our financial donations come from sacrificially generous individuals in our community, and the remainder comes from churches, businesses, schools, civic and professional groups and bequests.

83% of donor contributions goes to directly program service expenses benefiting our clients.

Downtown Jimmie Hale Mission, Inc. is a Christian-based, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, which includes a homeless shelter for men, a shelter for women and children, recovery programs, and three learning centers. This charity is often misspelled Jimmy Hale Mission. Federal Tax ID: 63-0358757

For nearly 72 years, God has blessed us through your support to be able to care for those homeless, hurting and hungry.  That’s not something we take lightly.

In those seven decades, we’ve always worked diligently to be good stewards of your donor dollar, but we’re also pleased to share that we’ve recently received new accreditations and certifications showing such diligence.

ECFA AccreditedECFA  – Stands for the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.  ECFA provides accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with established standards for financial accountability, transparency, fundraising, and board governance.  The Jimmie Hale Mission was blessed to receive their accreditation in 2015.

 

Ministry Ventures Ministry Mastery Seal copyMinistry Ventures  – This is an organization that provides coaching and training designed around the ‘Five Best Practices’ of ministry leadership for executive directors and staff serving the nonprofit sector.  After many classes, meetings and some homework, we’re happy to share that the Jimmie Hale Mission became certified by Ministry Ventures in 2015.

 

cn_4StarSquareColor copyCharity Navigator Charity Navigator is an independent nonprofit evaluation group that uses several dimensions including financial health, accountability and transparency to rate nonprofits across the nation.  They are considered the largest and most influential charity evaluator.  The Jimmie Hale Mission has been rated a 4-Star charity (the highest rating a nonprofit can earn) for several years in a row.

 

AGRM biggerAGRM – AGRM is the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions.  The Jimmie Hale Mission has been a member of this organization for several years, and our Executive Director Tony Cooper has previously served on their board of directors.  Being part of this group entails the Mission to many professional and educational opportunities including inspirational devotionals, networking opportunities and national and regional seminars.
