For nearly 72 years, God has blessed us through your support to be able to care for those homeless, hurting and hungry. That’s not something we take lightly.
In those seven decades, we’ve always worked diligently to be good stewards of your donor dollar, but we’re also pleased to share that we’ve recently received new accreditations and certifications showing such diligence.
ECFA – Stands for the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability. ECFA provides accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with established standards for financial accountability, transparency, fundraising, and board governance. The Jimmie Hale Mission was blessed to receive their accreditation in 2015.
Ministry Ventures – This is an organization that provides coaching and training designed around the ‘Five Best Practices’ of ministry leadership for executive directors and staff serving the nonprofit sector. After many classes, meetings and some homework, we’re happy to share that the Jimmie Hale Mission became certified by Ministry Ventures in 2015.
Charity Navigator – Charity Navigator is an independent nonprofit evaluation group that uses several dimensions including financial health, accountability and transparency to rate nonprofits across the nation. They are considered the largest and most influential charity evaluator. The Jimmie Hale Mission has been rated a 4-Star charity (the highest rating a nonprofit can earn) for several years in a row.
AGRM – AGRM is the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions. The Jimmie Hale Mission has been a member of this organization for several years, and our Executive Director Tony Cooper has previously served on their board of directors. Being part of this group entails the Mission to many professional and educational opportunities including inspirational devotionals, networking opportunities and national and regional seminars.
