The Mission honored Dale Cooper, director of business administration, by celebrating her 25 years of dedicated service at a special retirement reception at City Club downtown Thursday evening.
Countless friends, family members, colleagues, and special guests were in attendance to pay tribute to the wonderful woman they’ve all come to respect and love over the years.

Mission board chairwoman Robin Greenlee presented Cooper with a certificate of recognition from Citygate Network, while Birmingham city council district three president Valerie Abbott read a sincere proclamation. Ethan Vice, Field Director with the U.S. House of Representatives, was also on hand and presented Cooper with a letter of recognition and gratitude on behalf of Congressman Gary Palmer and his staff.
Sharon Fussell, director of human resources, followed with several gifts from the Mission family before turning the microphone over to Cooper who shared how the Mission and those in and around it have impacted her life before sending everyone in attendance heart-felt thanks.

Cooper has warn many hats in her time with the Mission and has made lasting impressions in the lives of everyone she’s touched. She has been a steadfast example of servant-leadership and her genuine, loving personality has been infections throughout the Mission family.
