The Shepura Men’s Center will soon be able to accommodate additional food storage with the expansion of the main freezer in the dining hall. The renovation was made possible thanks to a grant from an anonymous donor last year.
Melvin Stoves levels and smooths the concrete foundation
The Mission has had to turn away several food donations in the past due to a lack of adequate cold storage space. These donations are crucial as meal provisions for the hungry are a large part of our ministry. In addition, food contributions help reduce the overall cost of each meal.
Trenching for the electrical wiring and the foundation expansion phase of the project have already been completed. Wall panels are scheduled to be delivered next week and the modified freezer is expected to be fully operational by the end of the month.
