Back to Life University

Job loss, health issues, lack of education, trauma, toxic relationships, and drug and alcohol addiction are common on the road to homelessness.

Over time, it becomes more and more difficult to overcome these obstacles and see any life other than one of brokenness, struggle, and failure. But at Jimmie Hale Mission, we cultivate the mustard seed of faith inside each person and strive to nourish a new identity and renewed sense of hope.  Although it starts with a meal and a safe place to sleep, our program goes beyond that to focus on five areas of health: physical, mental, relationship, vocational, and—the cornerstone of our program—spiritual.

Our Program Includes

  • Case Management
  • Counseling
  • Personal Spiritual Development
  • Value-Based Decision Making
  • Substance Abuse Recovery
  • Life-Skills including Anger Management and Parenting
  • GED and Literacy Classes and College Enrollment
  • Budgeting and Financial Training
  • Cultivating Healthy Relationships and Boundaries
  • Work Readiness
  • Housing Readiness

Jimmie Hale Mission set out decades ago to be the place where the homeless and hurting can receive a new identity through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a life built on Christian values.  We are committed to excellence and integrity in everything that we do.  Through current clinical best practices and Christian compassion, our Life Recovery Program is designed to bring lasting transformation.  This not only changes the trajectory of the lives of those whom we directly serve, but it also impacts multiple generations as it changes the lives of our clients’ families and children.
